The Watts Towers as seen from the rear of the parcel of land where Sam Rodia had lived and worked in his spare time.
The towers seem weightless with their transparent texture. (see a detail)

At the base of the towers they are all interconnected by way of a vaulted construction. Again, contrary to Romanesque and Gothic ribbed vaults, Sam Rodia only built the ribs themselves.
